The Museum of Lisbon’s Open Reserve, which is part of the Central Reserve, offers the public a behind-the-scenes glimpse of an important and invisible part of museum work: collections management. Aida Nunes, coordinator of the conservation and restoration services, is hosting this tour.
Recently, the Museum of Lisbon has developed its storage units, creating specific spaces for each collection, with adequate conditioning equipment for the different types of objects. Along with the area of conservation and storages, progress has been done in the collections inventory and photography.
