All Saints Royal Hospital

Figurative panel dating from the early 18th century, from a workshop in Lisbon. It depicts the façade of the Hospital Real de Todos-os-Santos, overlooking Rossio Square. Some popular characters are shown in the foreground, selling various goods. The Neptune Fountain can be seen on the left. The entire scene is surrounded by a frame of pelmets and drapery suggesting brocade, complete with fringing and tassels.
